The story of how Sheela deposed Laxmi is told in detail in Osho, India and Me by Canadian Krishna Prem. Sheela was v political. She got letters from the heads of depts. who liked her, saying they were not satisfied with Laxmi's leadership and showed them to Osho who apparently (?) took the letters at face value
