'Osho Dynamic Meditation'

Brighton Based Swami Vivek (John Kapp) has written an article for publication entitled 'Cathartic meditation for prevention and therapy' which has been seen by sannyasnews. It has a laudable aim.

Vivek's objective is to promote dynamic meditation in healthcare, and generate a clinical research trial on dynamic meditation, to put it on a par with mindfulness meditation.

Mindfulness meditation was accepted in 2006 by the NHS, as an alternative to anti-depressant medication by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and is therefore being prescribed by doctors in the NHS under the name of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

Vivek would like to engage with others who are interested in promoting dynamic meditation in UK healthcare to match the recent initiatives around mindfulness meditation.

To that end Vivek can be contacted at johnkapp@btinternet.com or by phoning him on 01273 417997.

(Vivek leads dynamic meditation in Brighton three times a week, and details of these sessions can be found at the on-going section of the sannyasnews listings.)
