More Powerful than LSD

Meditation stronger than LSD
by Lakshen Sucameli

I still remember my first Dynamic Meditation more than 30 years ago.

Already after the first stage of chaotic breathing, I entered in a sort of LSD experience that lasted even after the meditation ended and I say to myself : “Wow ! This is ´pure dope´ for free … and without negative side-effects. I want to know the Man who invented it !!!”

In fact at that time, as other people of the so-called hippies generation, we were experiencing several kinds of dopes not just for fun or to escape from the world … but as a way to explore deeper realms of reality.

You may remember those American scientists, psychologists and artists like Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert and Allen Ginsberg who became famous in the ´60-´70 spreading their message of ´turn on, tune in and drop out´ !

There´s a story about Richard Alpert arriving in India and offering a full box of LSD to Sri Karoli Baba who took the pills and remained totally unaffected !
Later on Mr. Alpert became his disciple and was called Ram Dass.

There are no anecdotes like that in Osho´s life, but I remember having heard Him answering to people who asked: “What do you do for those who are drug-addicts?” “I am giving them a stronger dope: it is called Meditation!”

Simply, clear and with His usual provoking and dialectic capacity, Osho transformed the contest of the question into a different approach to the problem.

In fact, the problem is no more that of the ´search´ of the hippies, or that of the artists along the ages using some kind of substances to improve their inspiration … and not even that of traditional cultures as in Central or South America using peyote and Ayuwaska in order to get a ´vision´.

The modern men and women from the West, and now also from the East, are living in a fast lane world full of tensions and often, the way to overcome the problems, is getting into drinking or drugs.

But the state of relax and let go that alcohol and drugs can offer is just momentary as an helicopter that lifts up very fast, makes possible to see the high, but is unable to land and remain on the pick!

Meditation is a longer and more arduous process but, once one starts to walk on the path, there is a chance to reach and finally sit on that pick.

Anyway, the contemporary human beings are not willing to pay attention for something that looks difficult and long. There are already too many ´difficult and long´ things to do … why to add another one to such already busy life ?!

The vitality and naturalness are consumed by being productive for the economical system and for the sake of social moral codes.

Osho was very much aware of the issue and created His Active Techniques in order to shake ´fast´ the mind and the body, make people feel natural and vital again and then … meditation can have a chance to start!

The Osho´s active meditation techniques are among the most precious pearls left by Him. I do not know anyone who, after having experienced them, is not impressed by the results!

No matter if you are a lazy employer, or an hectic businessman.

Once you have closed your eyes for an hour and followed the stages of Dynamic, Kundalini, Mandala or Nataraj … something is bound to happen. No matter if you are a spiritual seeker, or a fervent atheist.

In each case, you will experience something that can open a wider understanding of your life.

These techniques should become part of every school and university program around the world … and maybe one day they will!!!

The Sheela Paradox

Sannyas News feels this extract below - which is Osho’s answer to what happened in sannyas between 1979 and 85 during the Sheela regime - is illuminating. In particular it explains how Indian sannyasins were treated. However it also begs wider questions on which comment is welcome.

Question :

Beloved Master,
I’m amazed to see how much fear and how many wounds from my heart evaporated, listening to you talking about Sheela and her gang leaving the commune. Now nobody will throw me out, away from you.
Beloved master, I’m so happy that I’m laughing and crying together.
Please, just tell me one thing: why did this Sheela-Vidya gang hate your Indian sannyasins so much?

Osho:
I can see you all are immensely happy. I came to know just a little late, that you were dancing in the streets; otherwise, I would have joined you. I myself am feeling for the first time at home.

First the question, then a few more things.
I feel sad and sorry for Sheela and her gang. She has a certain hatred for Indians. The reason is she was raped when she was fifteen or sixteen years old by a man who was a friend of her father, and she had always thought of him as her uncle. Then she became pregnant.
And in India, in those days, pregnancy was a great problem. Abortion was not legal, so illegally, somehow, some physician managed the abortion.
That pain, that distrust, that ugly experience, and the trauma has remained as a wound in her. That is the root cause of her hatred for Indians.
Perhaps I am the only person from India whom she did not hate. The reason is clear, that I may have been born in India, but I am not an Indian.
I don’t belong to any tradition, any religion, any race, any color. The moment she saw me, heard me, she felt tremendous joy, that at least in the whole of India, of eight hundred million people, she can love one Indian.

The same phenomenon has caused in her mind a deep hatred for men too. Because of that old man (who raped her) she has been taking revenge on all men.
You may have observed that around her there were only homosexuals. Homosexuals are not men, homosexuals are not women. You cannot categorize them as men or women.

First I was thinking, why does she continue to be surrounded by homosexuals? Then I saw the point, that instead of men she would like homosexuals to be around her. They have dropped out of manhood. They are no longer polar opposites to the woman.
In India, she was consistently, for nine years, persuading me to come to America. I would have never come to America, but my physical health was bad. And her persuasion was right, that perhaps in the clean air, in a dry and cool place, my health will recover.
But in her own mind, the basic reason for me to leave India was the rape that had happened there. She hated the whole country. Her excuse to bring me out of India was perfectly right, but behind the excuse was her psychology. She did not want to live in India herself. She did not want me to live in India. She did not want my people to live in India.

She still carried the same antagonism, and she found excuses to throw away Indians. Many Indians had come to the commune, and had gone back to India with tears in their eyes.

India is a poor country. To make arrangements to come to America, and then to be refused by the commune, is simply inhuman. These people had come by selling their houses, their lands, all their belongings — and they were not accepted.
But because I was in silence, I never came to know what was going on. She had sent away many Indian sannyasins in a very ugly way.
Now everybody can come, because nobody has raped me, nor have I raped anybody. I don’t have any antagonism for anybody in the whole world. In fact, it was because of Sheela that Oregon became so hostile to the commune. I was silent. For five years I did not read any newspapers, did not listen to the radio, did not read any books.

It is all finished. I am keeping my eyes open only for you, just to see you and let you see in my eyes is enough. Whatever I had to achieve, I have achieved. I have loved enormously. I have been loved by millions of men and women. There is not any experience which was worth having that I have not passed through.

If death comes in this moment I will be going rejoicing, because it is not taking anything away from me. My life has been a complete contentment and fulfillment.

If I am still breathing, I am breathing for you, because before I leave I would like you to be in the same space in which I have lived.
So now nobody will be thrown out of the commune, and anybody who knocks on our doors has to be accepted.
Now there is no need for Oregonians to be hostile to us. Our hands will be always waiting for their hands, and our hearts will be always waiting for their hearts.

Sheela created this ugly situation because her life has been misery, anger, hatred. She created an unnecessary hostility.
But now I am speaking again. That hostility will disappear just like a dewdrop on a lotus leaf disappears in the early morning sun.
We are Oregonians. Now it is for Oregonians to become red! Why should those poor people choose to be dead rather than be red? We will change the whole situation. The whole world is ours — Oregon included. They are simple human beings reacting in simple human ways. There was no need to create what Sheela did.

It is past history and we have to erase it.
Just the other day I came to know that Sheela, and the whole gang that has escaped from here, were trying to kill three people who are very close to me: Devaraj, my physician; Devageet, who was my dentist in India; and Vivek, who has taken care of me for all these fifteen years as lovingly as no other woman is capable of. Twenty-four hours a day she has been just like a shadow to me, thinking of such small things — about my dress, about my bath, about my food.

You will not have seen any kitchen where a doctor is sitting and weighing calories of everything. They are very miserly; they don’t allow me more than three thousand calories per day. And I have to speak five hours, just on three thousand calories!
But they love me, and they don’t want me to leave my body before my people are ready.

I may have died without Vivek, Devaraj, Devageet, anytime. They have taken every care to keep me alive as long as possible.

Now Sheela is gone and the whole gang is gone. Things were repressed out of fear. People who knew could not say, because saying meant they would be thrown out of the commune, and they did not want to leave me. Just to be with me they had to carry wounds in their hearts.
One sannyasin came immensely happy and told Vivek that there was a meeting a few months before…. Vivek, Devaraj and Devageet — all three should be killed by slow poisoning. And she could not understand, so she left the meeting. So she does not know what decision they came to.

But they must have decided to, because Vivek got one dose of slow poison and her heartbeat went absolutely berserk. It took three hours for doctors, medicine, to bring her heartbeat back to normal.

This has never happened before. She had taken only one cup of tea at Jesus Grove, and immediately this happened.
In the meeting here, in the last ceremony, Devaraj was injected with poison. He is a doctor, has the highest qualifications from Britain. He immediately understood what had been done. He felt the prick. It happened when Shanti B. was by the side of him, telling him something, one hand on his shoulder, another hand near his body on the floor.
He immediately started saying that he had been poisoned, he had been injected. Nobody could believe it, but his situation was… he became pale as if he was dying. He had to be sent to Bend Hospital.
Hasya was there to take care of him. The doctors who were looking after him told Hasya that there seemed to be no reason for his sudden sickness, except that some poisoning had been done. They also said that the same case had happened with the attorney of Jefferson County last year, and they suspect it was exactly the same case of poisoning.
Now this gang was making it instead of a meditation camp, a concentration camp. And why did these three people have to be removed, to be killed? Just because they were close to me.
Sheela never wanted anybody to be close to me, for a simple reason: so I am never able to know what she is doing outside, what she is saying outside, in my name.

And you will be surprised and shocked, that even my room, my sitting room, my bedroom — they were all bugged.
On the surface they were all saying that they love me and they are ready to die for me. What could be the reason to bug my room? And Vivek suspected it, because her room was also bugged. Hasya’s house was bugged, and every telephone call was taped. Now, my people are not talking politics on telephones — perhaps with a friend, with a lover.

And when I suspected this, I asked her. She said, “No. We are simply tapping the phones of people whom we suspect are planted by the government.”
I said, “In four years, how much information have you got? You show me.”
They had not a single piece of information. So I said, “What is the point? For four years those thirty people were not phoning at all?”
And this is simply an excuse to listen to other people’s conversations. And it is ugly, inhuman, undemocratic. It is a crime. It is interference in people’s privacy.

I was not aware that they were even bugging my room. It will be difficult for you to believe — yesterday we discovered and disconnected a bugging device.
She was continuously insisting that my room should have a buzzer, an emergency buzzer, so that the guards know immediately if anything is wrong.
I said, “From inside what can be wrong? Guards are outside. If anything wrong is going to happen to me, it will come from outside. They should have a buzzer to inform me. I am living isolated.

Nobody can even see me from the outside, and I cannot see anybody outside. The buzzer is pointless.”
What she insisted was: in some emergency it may be needed. I said, “Okay, if you are so intent, it does me no harm.” But the point was — just yesterday we came to know — when the buzzer was removed, there was a microphone. It was a bugging device.
I was seeing a few people once in a while. She never wanted for me to see anybody. But I said, “This is not possible. I have a certain message for somebody, certain instruction for somebody. And I don’t think you are capable of doing it. So the person has to be called.”
So that was the reason for bugging my room — what am I saying to people whom I have called?
She had created almost a fascist state. It was ugly. It was criminal. And the whole bunch has escaped. Knowing that once Sheela and the main people are gone, the others will be in trouble because soon these things will be discovered….

But we are not going to leave these criminals in the world. They will destroy other communes, other people. I am going to inform the government; I am going to inform the international police force; I am going to inform all the communes; I am going to inform the press media. These people should be treated as criminals.

One of our old sannyasins, Shunyo, has donated three hundred thousand dollars, after an attack on my life was made, to purchase a bulletproof car.
Those three hundred thousand dollars were simply swallowed up by Sheela and her brother, Bipin. They went on saying, “The money will be returned, it will be returned within a month.” Now almost eight years have passed, and not a single dollar has been returned to the commune. And I heard yesterday that, although Sheela and her whole gang has left, Bipin is still in Jesus house.
Geeta has proved a jewel. She was the secretary of Sheela. Sheela wanted her also to go with them; Geeta refused. She has seen the working of Sheela closely, and she did not want to be part of that criminal gang. She informed me that this Bipin is in the house. I told her, “Tell him to leave immediately — he has nothing to do here — because he may do more mischief.”
These people could do all this harm, and much more about which we are not aware. But rumors are coming and soon people will start finding what else they have done.

It is just a rumor that they tried to poison the whole of The Dalles city by poisoning their water system. It is just a rumor right now. They did not succeed, but they made the attempt.

I am trying to make you absolutely apolitical, with no desire for power; and these people were using you and your strength for their own ambitions.
I have heard that some government office in The Dalles was burned, and it was the work of this group. These people could have done anything.
They could have killed me. Perhaps, after killing those three people who are taking care of my health, they would have started slowly poisoning me, so they become absolute dictators in the commune.

So it really feels fresh. The air seems to be totally different, and we are fortunate that they left by themselves. Perhaps they suspected that the time has come when they may be exposed.
Perhaps they have taken away money from the commune… because they have left the commune with a fifty-five-million-dollar debt. And strangely enough, three days before they left I asked Savita — because she was looking after the finances — “How much debt do you have?”
She said, “Nearabout two and a half million.”

Just three days before, two and a half million. They became experts in lying. The night she was leaving, I asked her, “You tell me exactly how much debt, because anybody who is going to run the commune will have to take care of the debt.”
She said, “It must be thirty to thirty-five million.”
I said, “Strange. Just within two days, from two and a half million, to thirty to thirty-five million? What happened in these two days?”
She said, “I was not aware of the whole thing. Because you asked me, I looked into it.”
I said, “But I have heard that you are leaving a fifty-five-million-dollar debt. And you are still saying thirty-five.
Be true!”

Hearing the figure fifty-five million dollars, she said, “Perhaps it is fifty-five million dollars.” Suddenly from thirty-five it becomes fifty-five — just there within two minutes. These people were lying to me. These people were lying to you.
Your letters were not reaching exactly — only those letters they wanted were coming. My answers were not reaching to you exactly as I had dictated them. They were edited. They managed the answers according to their ideas.

One thing has to be remembered, that such a thing should never happen again in this commune. For that reason, I am not going to be in silence again. Even if I die, just because of old habit I will go on speaking. Habits die hard; man dies very easily. But I am not going into silence. I have to keep completely acquainted with what is happening, so never again such a fascist thing happens to my people.
I love you so much. I could not conceive that anybody would do such criminal acts against you. And you have shown a great quality of trust, even in that group which was not trustworthy. I appreciate your trust. I condemn their acts, but I appreciate your trust.
But it is not going to happen again. And you all have to be aware that it should not happen again. And if you see anything like it happen — even the beginning of it — now I will be available to you directly.

From Osho’s book ‘From Bondage to Freedom”

The Inner Circle Conundrum

Restoring the Inner Circle? Shantam explores the Issue.

Beloved Fellow Travelers,
Just in a few months time we will have the 20th anniversary of Osho’s leaving the body. During this time India has made incredible material progress, something which Osho was keen on in His early discourses in the 1960’s. For the first time India’s new generation is proud to be young, and ready to experiment with life. Western technology groomed by the best universities has also contributed to change the way we used to communicate. Osho would have felt happy to use all these opportunities.

However where we stand as an organisation and as a torch bearer of Osho’s legacy - whether we say it loud or simply feel it, we are lacking nourishment.

Once the organisation around Osho realises that its credibility is at a nadir in spite of all the best intentions on their part, we can start a new chapter. We can leave a few marks for future generations. If first generation sannyasins who have seen, felt, and lived, and were part of Osho vision cannot find a suitable interpretation of His words and intentions, it will be an impossible task for those who will see Him only through the videos and through the books.

Keeping this in mind, a few of His people are enjoying an open discussion at sannyasnews.com.
It is my feeling that having been part of Osho’s vision for more than 23 years in a passionate way, that once some simple steps are taken, Bonsai will start the journey to be a Banyan tree. it will bring creditability and trust in people’s hearts.

To move mountains and to built bridges over the seas is not a wonder any more, but to bridge inroads into People’s heart and win their trust is still an arduous work, yet it is the easiest work. Just put aside ego, and the bricks are there.

In the context of running Osho’s work successfully, heartfully and with credibility, the first step is to restore the institution of inner circle. A twenty one member inner circle - as Osho had wished to carry forward His dream. It means every member has a voting right of approximately 4% and in the case of tie, the President of the inner circle will cast his vote. This will be democracy and meritocracy at work.
www.oshoinnercircle.com can be the official website and every member is reachable all the time through their e mail identities say,
amrito@oshoinnercircle.com

Once the connection is there between a far away leaf with the roots, it is a sign of healthiness. Most of the people will not even think to write to the President of a country for example but the whole still prospers - when every citizen feels that people who are running the administration are accountable and reachable.

Who will be these 21 members, as many of the original inner circle members have gone into oblivion. My suggestion is that most of them should be the first generation sannyasins from different countries and professional backgrounds with life long association with His vision. They should really represent the face of us all. in their integrity and fearless walks on the path. for sure, Jayesh will stay as President and Amrito as vice president. Rest of the members can be new yet known faces.

As in this age of Internet, it is not necessary that they are always camped at Pune, though when there is a general meeting of inner circle for 2-3times in a year, all members must be present. And also it should not be life long postings. Say for two to three years and to see that their experience is not lost, they can be part of an advisory board because work has the potential to grow beyond our imaginations.

This is the first and vital step. It is a life saving injection. Afterwards one needs only the vitamins and regular diet and exercise. This we can discuss later.

An Open Letter re Modern Day “Sannyas”

Shahriar reflects on ‘Sannyas’ in 2009

Hello Dear Sannyasins

Osho has left his body. He has left behind enlightened sannyasins and sannyasins who are still on the path. He has left an immense body of words for those still on the path as fingers pointing to the moon. He has left an esoteric group of sannyasins who are living in the world as ordinary individuals and guiding those who need to be guided. He has left an exoteric group which is unconscious and can only decide out of unconsciousness.

Christianity, to preserve the unity of the Christian religion, gave power to a temporal and spiritual head, in the hope that through this Christians could be united and the truth could be preserved. They forgot that organizations exist for their own purpose and have no concern for the truth. They forgot that organizations are inhuman forces and when there are unconscious people within organizations, these organizations along with the ego inside of the unconscious people work to destroy the truth. They forgot that individuals are attracted to organizations not for the purpose of truth but for the purpose of ambition and ego.

Islam, divided into two groups, Sunni and Shia. A rigid central organization was not created although Islam fell into the hands of those who were ambitious and had political aims (rather than being preserved in the hands of non-ambitious, non-political individuals) and was thus perverted. The Islamic sects of Sunni and Shia had their own inflexible dogma and through the tyranny of those who had power and who thought that their understanding of Islam was the “only right one”, freedom of thought was opposed and fanaticism was created. Sufis, rebellious mystics, were opposed, although their truth could not be killed.

There are many other religions which I will not enter into, but it does not take much looking around to see the results of their works.

We sannyasins are in the same position and I want to share some insights with you.

Sannyas, cannot be contained in any dogma or any organization, it can only be contained in the conscious human heart. Osho cannot be contained in organizations, because organizations do not have a soul. Only the individual has a soul and has the potential to become awake and receive enlightenment. No organization has a soul, neither does it have the potential to receive enlightenment. Organizations cannot even love, they cannot even feel. Organizations are inhuman forces, and they are unconscious forces.

Osho’s work is multidimensional. There is the work of preserving his words. There is the work of sending invitations to others so that they can also participate in meditation and partake of consciousness and joy. There is the exoteric group, and there is the esoteric group.

As long as we live in the mind, our whole vision will be divided and confused. Enlightened sannyasins have no argument among themselves, but only a silent understanding of each other’s being. Those sannyasins who are still on the path to consciousness are a different matter entirely.

Each individual sannyasin will have his or her own understanding of Osho and his work. Opinions will differ, ideas will differ, and that is natural, but, there is one essential in which we are all in agreement, and that is meditation, attaining to our own ultimate potential and releasing the fragrance of the flower.

The essence of Osho’s work can be reduced to meditation, although there are many more dimensions inside of Osho’s work.

Since all sannyasins have not received enlightenment, and are still on the path, differences will exist, ideas, thoughts and opinions will differ from one another and sometimes will come into conflict. This is to be expected. As long as sannyasins are unconscious, we must allow each Individual (as opposed to organization) come to his or her own understanding of Osho’s work. Organizations do not have a heart, much less a human heart.. They do not have feelings, and you cannot love an organization. You can only love human beings, (and animals, plants, trees, the universe etc) therefore we must always remember that Osho can only be contained in our love and in our being and not in any sect. When strangers come to Osho, they are touched by the transformation that has happened in the lives of individual sannyasins and not by the organizations existing around Osho’s work. Remember that organizations do not care about the truth, and that they have no soul. The individual has a soul, but how can the collective have a soul? They collective can only have unconsciousness and ego.

Osho’s work will spread through the transformation that happens within the lives of individual sannyasins, and not through any collective effort. Collective effort can only be unconscious, and the leaders of collective efforts are in the majority of cases, individuals with all the poisons of ambition, jealousy, greed, prejudice and unconsciousness still inside of them and their work can only lead to disaster and not to any truth.

Sannyas must remain a loose community of individuals, united by the common bond of meditation. Our gatherings must be gatherings of love and joy, of celebration, sharing and of awareness. That is the meaning of sannyas. Sannyas is not a social revolution, but an individual rebellion and this is the only way that the world can be changed. The world is built on the foundation of individuals, and the meaning of sannyas is to change the human heart within oneself so that it is filled with love, and to transform the being so that it is aware, joyous and celebrating. Our concern is meditation and releasing the fragrance of meditation into the world. This does not need any hierarchical organization but rather it needs individuals with the love for mediation and loose communities wherein individuals can gather and participate in meditation and in love, joy, celebration and sharing.

COMMENT from Osho Friends:
Soon after Osho, left His body in 1990, Osho International Foundation (OIF) Zurich, started to register the name Osho and His Meditations as trade marks in the USA.

In March 2000, a web site www.oshoworld.com dedicated to making the huge volume of Osho discourses freely available on the internet, was served with a notice and pulled down from the net. Relying upon their registrations of trademarks, the Zurich entity tried to force Osho Dhyan Mandir to abandon the domain name www.oshoworld.com and transfer its ownership to them. In its verdict on July 28, 2000 the National Arbitration Forum of USA decided in favor of Osho Dhyan Mandir.

It was during that time the trademarks of Osho registered in the US came to the notice of Osho Friends.

When it became clear that the Zurich entity was working towards legal ownership and control of the Osho movement and centers around the world, Osho Friends decided in 2000 to file for cancellation of the said trademarks. Osho Friends is an association of sannyasins, friends and lovers of Osho from around the world.

The trademarks of Osho in the US now finally stands as canceled.

Author of “Life in Orange” found dead

Former Osho Medina boy sannyasin, Yogesh, who later in life became the writer Tim Guest, died, at the age of 34, having suffered a suspected heart attack. He was found dead in bed by his wife Jo. Despite efforts at resuscitation she was unable to revive him. Yogesh lived in North London and died last week.

Guest was the author of the memoir My Life in Orange (Granta), which told the story of his childhood growing up in Medina and Oregon. He described commune life for a reluctant sannyasin kid as “somewhere between Peter Pan and Lord of the Flies”!

His second book sometimes described as brilliant, called Second Lives (Hutchinson) explored the appeal of virtual worlds. Hollywood was also impressed with the second book, and film rights were acquired for Brad Pitt.

Tim wrote for newspapers, including The Guardian, The Observer and the Telegraph Magazine, and had been interviewed on Richard and Judy.

The results of a post-mortem examination will be known next week, with friends saying the most likely cause of death was a heart attack or stroke.

In My Life in Orange, which was published when Guest was 27, to mixed reviews, he told the story of his mother’s rejection. However Yogesh failed to see that this rejection had nothing to do with being in an Osho commune, it could have been in a pre-Raphaelite or any other commune. Hence the book is badly titled “My Life in orange” as the Osho movement took the blame for his mother’s casting off, but actually the rejection was simply a rejection. Ma Prem Vismaya, his mother wrote a deeper book of reply called “in the Dark and still moving” (Anne Geraghty: The Tenth Bull). Both books are worth reading for students of the early and commune periods of sannyas.

Majid (Barnaby Burch), who grew up with Guest in the Medina commune in Suffolk, said his family were “devastated” by his death.

Majid who was Yogesh’s closest friend in the virtual world they created in Medina - to escape what they saw as a difficult environment - said that he last saw him for his stag party in Berlin in October and his wedding to Jo at Islington Town Hall the week afterwards. He said his death had come as a “huge shock”.

“He was in his mid-30s, had his whole life ahead of him, starting to really make his name in journalism and writing, he had just got married and was really, really happy,” he said. “It was a really good time for him and his death is all the more tragic for that. I can only imagine how Jo must be feeling.

“I just remember him as my geeky, gawky friend, and the days post commune of roaming around Hampstead Heath on our bikes, playing computer games, sharing our favorite books. I got to see him blossom and develop into a grown man, but I will always remember him as a nine-year-old boy.”

As someone who taught both Yogesh and Majid in the Medina commune that too is how I too will remember him. A boy living in his own world, surrounded by a wider commune life that he found inimical. Maybe even a little tortured by what he must have experienced as a very difficult life as he was a-growing. It is no surprise to me that the book that he will be remembered most for is about a virtual world.

Life’s Poetic Flare…

Osho Camp in Canada!

I’ve learned slowly that one should always expect surprises and never doubt the mysteries of life. Such was the surprise with the outcome of the Osho Meditation Camp with Swami Anand Arun.

I worked endlessly to make it happen and at the same time worried periodically, hoped passionately and waited patiently for something I could not control. However, during the entire process an energy was burning within to continue, continue, continue…

I recall a time at Osho Tapoban during an evening white-robe celebration when I saw a video of my master Osho. I allowed many tears to flow freely as I saw such a magnetic, beautiful, refreshing human being inspiring each molecule of my body and soul to go within. At that moment I allowed myself to surrender completely in love and feel the thirst to dissolve with my Master..

Since than the play of Osho has completely taken my life…

This Meditation Camp has reminded me that it is possible to transform within and without by simply allowing life to unfold and be a medium. Things happened so smoothly, so gracefully with poetic flare that I rejoice in gratitude for such a colourful life I am living.

Over 40 people attended this memorable event and danced in joy, harmony and oneness for a weekend to explore within. Surrounded by the remote beautiful landscape of Northumberland County in Cobourg, the setting couldn’t have been better for early morning Dynamic Meditation (where I lost my voice two days in a row).

I could tell Sw. Anand Arun was very tired after conducting more than 4 meditation camps in cities across the United States, but an energy also surrounded him to continue on. His presence and love for Osho resonated deeply with those whom did not even know of him. His devotion toward his beloved Master brought tears and gratitude toward many. If there was a bonus, it was Sw. Anand Arun’s infamous choice of music that could easily make us dance for hours into the night.

So Beloved Friends, let’s meditate and celebrate by expanding the buddhafield of Osho. My body, soul and mind is vibrating with the dream of an Osho BuddhaField in Canada (in my backyard).

Need for a good organisational model - Kranti’s proposal

WITH DUE RESPECT

to everyone concerned, After seeing years of legal battles and conflicting opinions on Osho’s vision & also the inability / reluctance of concerned people to come together for a larger cause … I feel the core of the issue is the absence of a successful organizational model… which will give space for people managing the (temporal) affairs around Osho’s work to resolve issues by communication, rather than by legal battles.

Currently Intelligence , Meditative energy , Love , and Passion all are getting wasted due to this lack of direction…

Whether we like it or not it is 21 century… We need a very highly efficient Organisational model to run any place… even if it is an Osho meditation centre.

Osho himself accepted forming an ‘entity’ for managing the (temporal) affairs of His work, even though He never wanted one until His later years.

What we are seeing is the result of everyone trying to control what Osho gave - The Vision & The Tools. He gave these so they could support His work.

Yes.. We have to accept the inevitabilities.. But we don’t have to accept them as destiny… the ongoing conflicts are dragging Osho’s vision in that direction… instead of allowing things to drift and result in diverse and ineffective systems corrupting Osho’s vision.

We can call for the creation of a new organisation ..‘ “Osho Unlimited ” with globally run Meditation centres under a licensing system , having control over worldwide publishing, and with affiliations to other organisations running therapies ( Kind of outsourcing therapies )… Only difference needs to be that the organisation should be supervised by 21 Board of Directors ( Neo-Inner Circle ) who have Meditation as the ‘core aspect’ of their life .

Kranti.
